My First Holiday Giveaway

This is my first Holiday giveaway and I'm really excited!

I use many Kraft products and the Kraft Foods website has been a great help when I need a recipe or I’m looking for some ideas for dinner or dessert. They also provide a forum to exchange ideas and recipes, ask questions and provide feedback.

What a fun giveaway!

My favorite holiday treat is my mom's Raspberry Trifle. It's wonderful--layers of pound cake, pastry cream, raspberries, topped with fresh whipped cream and toasted almond slivers. Yum!!!

The first Thanksgiving after I got married I wanted to bring a great dessert to the table. I googled for one and I came upon a recipe for pumpkin crisp. Now that is what I have been making ever since and it is usually the first desserrt to go.

My favorite holiday recipe is Tourtière. It's a traditional French-Candadian dish, a meat pie made with a mixture of ground beef, pork, and veal, held together with mashed potatoes. Hearty and delicious-- and with leftover scraps of pie crust, we make pets du soeurs, little bite-sized cinammon rolls.

My favorite is Irish soda bread, it is a recipe that has been passed down from mother to daughter for over 6 generations.
It's super yummy!

At Christmas I always look forward to my grandma's watergate salad (dessert). Whipped topping mixed with pistachio pudding mix, cherries, pineapple, marshmallows, chopped pecans. Sounds gross outloud, but it is soooooo good.

My favorite holiday treat is a cashew salad my mom makes. It has lettuce, swiss cheese, cashews and a poppy seed dressing. Yummy.

My mom always makes a really pretty 12-layer Jello salad for Christmas that everyone really looks forward to!

My mother makes the best dressing in the world!! No, really!! :) But the “tradition” that I’ll always think about is that my mom makes a raisin pie for my dad every year. He’s the only one who likes it, so that way he gets to eat the whole thing all by himself! :)

I just love crescent rolls. I know I can make them any time of year, but they always taste better next to the turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy.
