Ding dong the witch is gone...

Because if I said Ding dong the witch is dead:
1. I would be a liar and
2. that’s not very nice nor very PC.

But regardless she’s GONE, Retired, out of the office For Good!

As of last Thursday the witch is Gone and my office shall be a nicer place to be from here on in. I shall have NO fond memories of how she was mean and nasty to all who she came into contact with, I shall not miss her hypocritical bullshit of wearing a HUGE wooden cross around her neck and cursing like a sailor and calling everyone she spoke to on the phone a F*ing A$$hole after she hung up and of course everyone was a complete moron because she knew everything. I will not miss her snide comments or how she would smile at you and say hi honey and then turn around and tell someone how much she hated you.. all while within earshot.

No, I will not miss the witch.

I will not miss her talking about the fungus on her hands or the way she wore latex gloves with the fingers cut off. I will no longer be worried about grabbing a utensil out of the box in the kitchen worrying if she touched it with her nasty, nasty hands. I won't arm myself with the can of Witch Be Gone (formerly a can of fresh scented Lysol) to attack my telephone and keyboard before I start working. There will be no more grease marks on the file folders from her Vaseline covered hands.

The office is no longer an infected petri dish of her germs.

I’m glad the old battleaxe finally retired so I don’t have to hear the 30 phone calls to her house while she baby talked into her answering machine leaving messages to HER DOG and the 50 calls a day from the daughter she lived with or how she would ask her daughter who had just called if she could talk to the dog.

Nope, I won’t miss it ONE FREAKING BIT.

Ding dong the witch is gone.
And for the first time in 5½ years my office is actually a nice place to be.

Luna Bar’s

I don’t normally do product reviews, but this is a product that you Must try!

I’m not into protein bars, or breakfast bars. More often than not they leave me with either a stomach ache or after a few bites I can’t stand the taste of them. But the Luna Bar is different, they’re GOOD, they’re so good they taste like they’re bad for you (which, even the kid agreed on that since I was a nice mom and I shared a bite with him.)

I went grocery shopping last night and saw that Stop & Shop had Luna Bar’s on sale for $1 each, so I checked them out and picked out 2 different kinds, Lemon Zest and Chocolate Peppermint Stick. I’m one of those people that I don’t usually eat breakfast and more often than not I don’t eat lunch either so finding something that’s nourishing and tastes good too that I can sit at my desk and eat while I’m working is always on my list.

I have found my perfect match in the Luna Bar.

They have a great variety of flavors and just judging by the 2 I have here I’m gonna go out on a limb and say they probably all taste fantastic. The Chocolate Peppermint Stick was So good, it was “love at first bite”. It’s chewy and moist and had a great chocolate taste and a nice punch of mint. I would have taken a pic, but once I started eating it, it didn’t have a chance, lol.
<--Empty wrapper, lol.

I did some browsing through the Luna web site and you can browse all their flavors and all the great things Luna does and you can also shop through their site. The only thing I wish is that they sold the bars in packs of multiple flavors, because as it stands you can only buy them in single flavor packs. Granted, I know not everyone loves the same flavors, but still.. variety is nice.

Hopefully they’re still on sale at Stop & shop today because I want to go grab some more and the next time I hit the wholesale club I’ll grab a box or 2 to have on hand and throw in my purse and even to keep in my car.

If you haven’t tried Luna bar’s... go ahead and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Tuesday Recap:

Kid didn’t go on the field trip (I was Not going to change my mind)

Kid came to work with me and sat in his office all day playing his online game with his dorky friends and didn't speak to me.

Kid grabbed me saving me from stepping in a melted chocolate bar in the middle of the street (which, I was very thankful for since I had flip flops on and eww). We were hysterical laughing all the way home, remembering the time one of us stepped in a pile of doggy doo while wearing flip flops and it was dark and we had to use a strangers hose to clean the foot off.. Really.. Eww, ROFL!

All was right with the world, no grudge held, no fights fought.

And that, my friends is it.

Yes, he was sad he couldn’t go.. But truth be told, he wasn’t the only kid who didn’t go, which he found out yesterday at camp. His counselor was cool enough to get him a LED key chain that has his name on it.

I don’t fight with my kid, which I love. Better yet, he doesn’t fight with me, and I can’t even tell y’all how happy that makes me. He’s not one to raise his voice and he’s the first to tell you to please keep it down.

I love my kid, he’s really one of a kind. He’s loving and caring and sure he can have an attitude sometimes, but that comes with being a teenager so you learn to grin and bear it.

I’m a mean and horrible mom

OK, really I’m not, but right now in the eyes of my 14 year old I must be the meanest worst mom on the planet. Why, you might ask? It’s because I’m not letting him to go Six Flags tomorrow with camp. Nope, that ain’t happening and you live under my roof, you live by my rules. Case closed. I did not sign the permission slip, on the second day of camp I told the director he wouldn’t be going on that trip, he doesn’t ride roller coasters and there’s no F’n way I feel comfortable with him on a school bus riding to New Jersey. So, I go to pick up said child from camp this afternoon and I find the director and his counselor waiting with him outside.. They wanted to talk to me to see if I would change my mind.. Sorry, NO. WTF, so now I’m really seriously annoyed that when he knew my stand on this matter he tried to sway me, not really a smart move on the kid’s part.

To top this all off it’s supposed to be like 100° tomorrow with the threat of thunderstorms. I hope it rains all F’n day. (Pardon my French)

The first year of camp I was able to go on the big field trip, the kids were 9-10 and Sesame place was fun, but the bus got lost on the way home and we wound up getting back well after 10 PM and that’s back when I was riding the bus, nobody could give us a ride home and we were stuck waiting for the bus at 10PM in a really unpleasant neighborhood. The past few years because of “Insurance reasons” I haven’t been allowed to go with them, sure I can follow in my own car and buy my own ticket (but seriously, then why bother even going on a field trip?)

So now, my kid is seriously pissed off with me... tough, he’ll get over it. I promised I’d take him out to dinner and we’d do something, but no.. he’s still a funky grouchy monster.. Whatever.

Signed,
(NOT) the meanest mom in the world
